Holiday Helper is available now!

THE BEST TIME TO GIVE A GIFT

is when it is least expected.

Here is how you can make the most of this holiday season:
You know you want to, or that you should send gifts to show your appreciation for the business your clients have entrusted to you all year long. Maybe you have been ‘given unto’ and feel overduereturning the gesture?

Let's be honest though: the shopping, wrapping, writing card tags and delivery of gifts is not the best use of your time, is it?
If you could outsource 97% of the work, saving you added stress, time & money how much better would you feel this upcoming gift-giving holiday season*?
The solution is simple:
This service is just one more way we help overwhelmed business owners achieve their goals with minimal effort on their part.
We offer a wide range of unique gift options for every type of client and industry.
All you do is select your items, give us your list, and you are D-O-N-E!
We manage your selections from fulfillment to wrapping, card-writing, shipping & delivery.
Delivery notification services are included so you can follow-up with a phone call to your client—or that potential client—who will take your call this time.

If you want to add a really unique touch, corporate logo’d wrapping paper, bows and ribbons, along with beautiful packaging options are all available.
*Thanksgiving is the best time of all:
Yes, the time of year we come together to give thanks for our blessings is ideally-suited to thank your clients and employees with true gifts (not promotional products) that arrive well in advance of the typical Christmas expectations.

Professional Wrapping Services
All of our wrapping services are done in-house so we can wrap even the most unique products with speed, convenience, and quality that will meet any budget. Provide us with a customer list and from concept to delivery, you will find reason to celebrate!

Back to School and Your Child's Social Media!

It's Back to School time around the country, in our area districts have been going back since July 31st. With kids going back to school comes new connections on social media. Different ages are on different platforms, know where your child hangs out on social media. Check up on them, be engaging on your child's social media platforms.
Know about the vaults that hold secret photos and more, this is especially important for the high school age groups- so much happens on social media. Is your child sending or receiving nude photo's? Just the other day at lunch with my teenage son and a few of his friends they were telling me of girls on Instagram looking for people to send nudes to. Come on!! Know what your child is doing!
As parents we are raising our children to be respectful, productive members of society. We pay for their phones and the service they have so it is our right to "browse" and see what they are doing online. Colleges search online and so do potential employers. Educate your children about the good and bad of putting everything out on social media.

Social Media for SEO..... Yes Please!

In many consultations I get asked about social media and SEO.... Yes Please! Social Media and SEO are friends! Use them to your advantage. Social Media is a FREE tool for your business SEO.
Using social media for business boosts your site’s SEO. Search engine crawlers know which pages are consistently earning traffic and which are just floating out there, forgotten and ignored. A killer content strategy for SEO is the most important part of earning top spots in search engine rankings, but driving traffic to your optimized pages will cause them to climb much faster in the search engine results pages (SERPs).
***Quick case study: Astroglide is one of TCF’s clients, and in less than a year we got the website to rank in the top 100 SERPs for 15,000 new keywords – as a result, traffic to the website has increased dramatically. A solid and consistent presence on Facebook, Twitter and other social channels was a BIG part of that success.

Your Personal Social Personality Matters to your Business.

3 Reasons why Personal Social Media Profiles (Personality) Matter as a Small Business Owner

  • Even with a separate business presence, people still associate you with your business. In fact – especially if you are a service provider – there’s a high likelihood current or past customers will refer you to others by using your first and last name instead of your business. Who did you use when you sold your home? Who did you call to paint your kitchen? What dentist do you see?
  • Customers and potential customers will look you up on their favorite social media sites and may even request to friend or follow you personally, either in addition to connecting to your business profiles or instead of. They may also find your personal social media profiles in search if a friend or relative referred them to you by your name (vs. your business). Google favors all social media bios in search, so those accounts likely rank high on Page 1 of search results for you. Be extra aware of this if you make public posts on your Facebook profile, or have a public Twitter or Instagram account. That ‘hot button’ post you published might be OK for your personal friends and family, but might ruffle a few feathers if it’s publicly viewable and your customers are connected to your personal social media profiles.
  • Looking at this point from a different view…why not use your personal social media profiles to tell more of your story? Since you are the business owner and you are – essentially – the business, why not provide a deeper look into your day to day life to help your customers and potential customers connect with you. Those personal glimpses can build a stronger, deeper connection, and can either win you new customers or turn existing customers into super fans. Positive, happy posts are the ones to make public or post to profiles that are always public so your customers can get to know you as a person and not just as a business owner.
As an added bonus, you can also occasionally share your business posts over to your personal social media profiles. It’s not something you want to do for 100% of your business’ social media posts, but here and there is wise because it may increase the exposure of your business and more often than not, your friends and family do appreciate knowing what’s happening with your business.

The 25 most popular hashtags for Instagram users-

If you are going to be using social media, Instagram specifically you need to embrace hashtag use to increase your exposure and connections.

The 25 most popular hashtags

According to Post Planner, they are:
1. #love
More than 696 million Instagram posts have the #love hashtag.
2. #instagood
This hashtag has appeared on about 314 million posts and counting.
3. #me
More than 297 million posts have the #me hashtag.
4. #tbt
This is a popular hashtag for those learning how to market on Instagram or for “Throw Back Thursday” where you post a picture of the past on -- you guessed it -- Thursday.
5. #cute
This hashtag has appeared on more than 258 million posts: Anything with puppies and babies wins!
6. #follow
The #follow hashtag has appeared on more than 258 million posts.
7. #followme
Another hashtag all about follower growth. As in, I want you to follow me and I’m obvious about it.
8. #photooftheday
Reserved for your best pictures -- only one per day that you call the best, or any picture you put this hashtag on.
9. #happy
Not related to the Pharrell Williams song, “Happy,” although that one is smile-worthy.
10. #tagforlikes
This popular hashtag asks people to tag them in posts so they can get more likes. I think this is crazy; it’s kind of like a business standing on the corner and begging folks to “Like me! Like me!” Not very good for premium brand building.
11. #beautiful
Instagram users have typed this hashtag more than 250 million times.
12. #girl
Again, I’m not sure you can get more generic, but good to know my gender is often featured in Instagram.
13. #like
Not sure about any ROI here, but again, it’s very clear what people are going for with this hashtag.
14. #selfie
There’s nothing like a good selfie angle to make one’s photo unrealistically gorgeous, which is why I love a good selfie.
15. #picoftheday
Similar to #8 (#photooftheday), these are for some of your best pictures, or the ones you apply this hashtag to.
16. #summer
No matter what time of year, this seasonal hashtag rules.
17. #fun
Where photos are marked with things that are not awful.
18. #smile
This sunshiney-day hashtag has been used millions of times.
19. #friends
This hashtag is used for gatherings of people you like to associate with.
20. #like4like
This “I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine” hashtag does work to get more followers -- quality followers, I’m not sure about, but followers nonetheless.
21. #instadaily
This hashtag says, “Hey, it’s today, and I’m on Instagram!” A bit obvious, yes, but many people use it.
22. #fashion
This hashtag is where you start to see niches, with fashion being one of the most popular.
23. #igers
Sounds bizarre, but this hashtag -- short for “Instagram Users” -- has been used hundreds of millions of times.
24. #instalike
Another “Please like this post” hashtag.
25. #food

Your Business Online Reputation Matters!

Online Reputation Repair….
Many companies, from small businesses to large corporations, underestimate the harmful effect that poor online reputation has on their business and, in turn, sales. Online reputation management must be taken very seriously, as the damage incurred from a negative web reputation is very difficult to overcome. For example, when a potential customer searches a company’s name and sees the negative results on Google, they are much more likely to take their business elsewhere, and you have lost a valuable client. If this isn’t fixed, this same scenario will happen over and over again. Once you understand why online reputation management is essential for your company’s success, what is the next step if your company currently has a bad web reputation, has been described unfairly in the press, or on one of the consumer review sites such as PissedConsumer.com?

Will you be able to fix it? Do you need to hire a pro? The answer is yes, yes and yes.

New Business Owner to Social Media?

Many businesses have little or no experience with social media. Some even use it without purpose. Here are 7 tips that may help you take the plunge into social media for your business.

1- Develop a Social Media Marketing Plan. Start with your objectives and introduce your business. Mission Statement.

2- Start from the Inside Out. What is your communication strategy for Social Media? How will you engage your audience? Can you respond right away to comments or concerns?

3- All or Nothing. Like a marriage or any relationship for that matter that you want to work, social media marketing is most effective when you are committed to it. You either give it everything or don't bother even turning the switch on. If you go half-heartedly you will actually do more harm than good.

4- Build your Community. This is a big social media challenge, Learn programs and have a roadmap in place to gain followers daily.

5- Develop a Process. One of the biggest complaints  hear on a daily basis from business owners is "I don't have time" You need at least 30 minutes morning, afternoon and evening to push content to your audience. Multiple times day presence so you are consistent with your community.

6- Have Content Strategy in Mind. Use this rule of thumb for content- 1)product/service, 2)industry, 3)topical, 4)lifestyle. Try and be keyword specific in posts.

7- Don't cut your Advertising. Social Media is not a means of relaxing your advertising but rather enhancing it. It is most effective when working hand in hand with traditional advertising.

I didn't ask to be in that group on Facebook....

More and more I am seeing posts on my personal Facebook feed of people being added to groups without their permission. Please don't do this to your contacts. It breaks trust and it is just rude.
We all get enough notifications on our own, we can choose how we get notifications by the pages we follow and groups we choose to join.
Think before you add, better yet- get your friends permission.

Social Media and Relationship Building-

If you’re doing it right, social media will lead to real relationship building. Part of what makes things like Twitter and Instagram marketing so cool is the interaction you get to have with your customer base — you can read their tweets and status updates to get insights into their daily lives (and maybe adjust your marketing strategy as a result). What products are they buying and why? What are they doing on the weekend? What kind of posts do they love to share, and from what websites?
You can also use social media as a tool for connecting with complementary, non-competing businesses, thought leaders and tastemakers in your space, as well as journalists who cover your industry. Sometimes, becoming besties starts with a simple retweet.

Social Sharing:

Social sharing contributes to a brand’s authority much in the same way that external links do. To search engines like Google, any indication of a verifiable external source validating your brand or your content is grounds for a small improvement in domain authority. So, if you can get five people to share your Facebook post, that’s great, but if you can get 1,000 people to share it, that’s even better. Likes, shares, favorites, replies, and retweets all count toward this increased authority.
The best way to encourage increased social sharing is to appeal to it directly. For example, you could offer a specific reward for people sharing your post, like entry in a drawing for a substantial prize. You could also do interactive surveys which encourage people to “like” a post if they agree with you on an issue, or if they’re interested in seeing specific types of new content. The best part of this strategy is that it’s a self-perpetuating cycle; the more people share your content, the more new followers you’ll win, and the more followers you have, the more shares you’ll get.
