Be Engaging on Social Media

One of the worst things a business can do is open a social media account and then not be active on it. Social Media is like any relationship- all in or all out, it requires a commitment.
Be engaging with your community. This is simple through Linkedin Monday, Twitter Tuesday, Blogger Wednesday and Fan Page Friday. Post pictures that are insertional, funny and that will show some of the personal you.
Keep your business page and personal page separate.
So, the question is not will you do social media, how well will you do social media?

Referrals Referrals Referrals!

Everyone knows that the best referral is a word of mouth referral. I was at a networking event the other night hosted at a location I do social media marketing for. After our meeting I said hi to one of the owners who was also attending a meeting in the same location. We said hi, chatted about our meetings and business for a moment and the she said to me "I have given your name to business X and she will be calling you tomorrow, I told her it was a no brainer and that you are awesome!"
This beyond Wow'd me. I was beside myself excited and thankful to have my customers that happy.
Customer Service and Customer Experience is key and will build your business for you.

I am part of a networking group and offer this method all the time. It is a win win for both parties!
Bartering is an excellent tool to promote business and get others to use your products and services. Bartering is awesome for testimonial trades as well.
You can trade your product or service for advertising spacer for another company's product or service. This is especially helpful when companies on limited budgets can exchange their services.

Stick It!

Use stickers, stams and handwritten notes on all your direct mail efforts and day-to-day business mail.
Remember, when you put a sticker or handwritten note on the outside of an envelope, it has the impact of a miniature billiard. People read it first, however, the message should be short and concise so it can be read in less than 10 seconds.

Host a Seminar or Open House!

When thinking about promoting your business do you think about events? Hosting a seminar or open house is a great way to promote your business and location.
Hosting an event is a great way to gain face time with key customers and prospects as well as get your company name circulating. With the right programming, you'll be rewarded with a nice turnout and media coverage. 
If it's a seminar, limit the attendance and charge a fee. A fee gives the impression of value. Free often connotes, whether intended or not, that attendees will have to endure a sales pitch.

The Love of a Child-

In 10 days or less I will become a Nana to my best friends 5th child.
To say that I am excited is an understatement. I love her first 4 with everything I am, along with my two children and stepdaughter. Children share unconditional love, babies remind us of innocent love that is always there. Hugs are endless and they seek your approval every single day, children always say I Love You no matter what. A child all always kiss you goodnight and say sweet dreams.
Treasure each and every moment with your little ones, there is nothing sweeter than the love of a child.
